I know that JUMPER hasn't received a ton of acclaim, but I thought it was a fantastic film. Well...maybe extremely entertaining.

I think they should have made a stronger point to hint at the mythology of the 'Jumper' a bit more, fleshing out the story a bit like the original MATRIX did. I think this film has the potential to become a solid trilogy of films.

I know there was a sequel written, and a third book that fleshed out one of the films' characters was also written.

Anyone read JUMPER or the sequel, REFLEX? I may have to pick up the first book, but the sequel is out of print and fetching a heavy price.

I don't know about fantastic, but I enjoyed it. The physics of the film seemed a little inconsistent. The concept was fun. It is a bit of a stretch to compare it to the Matrix. (Eeewww, 15% on the tomato reader. I just checked. That's harsh.) The movie needed a little more substance. That being said I'd go for a sequel.

I'm sure Reflex will be reprinted, so need to buy it off of Amazon or to borrow a fecal flecked copy from the library. I read the first chapter to Jumper at B&N. I need to finish a couple of books that I'm in the middle of then I'll buy it. Very strong first chapter. Made me remember why I fear truckers and their stops.

Official word is that 'Reflex' is being reprinted in April. You can still buy
the last printing new for cover price from TOR: http://www.torforge.com/reflex.
