In the last episode "?", it was revealed that the hatch and the button were under observation for some experiment which on the surface seems to be social in nature. Would you still push it?

I say absolutely not. Maybe Hanso will quit making food drops and actually send a team to the island if they stop pushing the button.

I tend to think more like Locke (the character, not the philosopher) on this matter. It does just seem like a waste of time at this point. I'm not saying it is, it just seem like it, and if I were on the Island with the crew, I would just not press it personally, and leave it up to others if they wanted to.
